Hi All, Hoping someone can help me out. I recently moved into a new house and tried to scan for freeview channels on my new tv but it doesn't pick any up. Some info: - The tv does not pick up any analogue channels either; - There is a brown coxial cable at the back of the tv, I've plugged it into the tv.the other end goes into a grey vision box (not sure what this is - image attached).which has a power cable attached. - I've tried plugging the brown cable into a usb dvb-t stick (which worked in my last place) but cannot get any channels on my laptop either.

- I've tried using an indoor aerial instead of the brown coxial cable with the tv and the laptop and still nothing. Tv is: Indoor Aerial is: Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Hi, Thanks for the reply. I had a look this morning (in the daylight) and I can see that there is a rooftop aerial. I can follow the cable from the aerial into the house and it comes out in the bedroom. In the bedroom there is a coxial cable coming out of the wall and also a wall aerial socket. In the sitting room there is just the brown coxial cable which orginates from the grey box, there is also a while coxial cable coming out of the box which goes into the wall (and as mentioned a power supply for it). Do I need something to be plugged in upstairs? I'm renting the property (it's just been recently vacated) so presumed everything was ready to go.
The neighbours is not a bad idea but think I'll bug my landlord first Just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something daft.
